Note Performance of the regime: the variables 'performance of the system for governing' (recoded 1-3 = 1; 4-5 =2; 6-7 = 3; 8-10 = 4), 'performance of people in national office (1-4), 'confidence in parliament (1 -4), and 'confidence in government (1-4) are added to form a 13-point scale: 1 = low performance to 13 = high performance.  The proportion of citizens with scale values 8-13 are displayed in the table.
